In this sermon series, I am answering tough questions that have been submitted to me.
In this particular sermon, I dealt with a question that asked how we are to reconcile the “whosoever” passages of Scripture with the other passages that clearly state that God chooses some for salvation and overlooks others. If God chooses someone and overlooks others, can it really be true that “whosoever” desires may come to the Lord?
Instead of dealing only with the salvation issue, I showed that the Bible clearly states that God is exercising His will while humanity is free to exercise his will. I presented this as a paradox that cannot be easily understood but must be embraced if we are to be people of the Word.
