As I approached the last Sunday I would be with my congregation before being out of the pulpit for two Sundays, I honed in on Matthew 5:1-6. These are Jesus’ first words in what is commonly called the Sermon on the Mount.
In my message, I sought to point out that there is a way that saved people (Kingdom people) are called to live. It is counter-intuitive so we must spend time in God’s Word and we must make a concerted effort, in the power of the Holy Spirit, to live the way He has called us to live.
