A week and a half ago, I was in the tunnels of the walls adjacent to the Western in Wall in Jerusalem. At that time, I shared with our group a 3 minute presentation of why the Temple Mount was such a very special place in Christian history … but why it is no longer needed.

As I prayed about what to preach this morning at Westside Baptist Church, I believed that the Lord wanted me to “unpack” what I shared in those tunnels.

But, preaching is never intended to be simply cognitive. It doesn’t simply provide information for our minds. It must also aim at and move our hearts. So, I ended the sermon with why the truths I had unpacked give us an incredible sense of self-worth, and move us to express wonder and gratitude at what God has done for us.
