Yesterday morning, a team of us left western Kentucky and made our way to Guatemala to serve the Lord and some people in this country.
It was a VERY long day and I didn’t get nearly enough sleep … so I’ll make this post short and hope it makes sense.
Here’s a picture of our team…
We are so thankful to Mark Watkins for safely getting us to the Nashville airport.
Our plane trip from Nashville to Atlanta only took about 45 minutes. The plane ride from Atlanta to Guatemala took about 3 1/2 hours.
We were all a little tired when we arrived at the airport. Fortunately, except for a slight delay, we got through customers reasonably quickly, met up with Mario and Gustavo, and were on our way to Jalapa where we would spend the night.
I didn’t take any video or pictures on our drive to Jalapa last night … because I had to keep my eyes on the road. We were traveling after midnight, some of our drive was dangerously close to the edge of cliffs, Guatemalans apparently have an affinity for curvy roads, and it was well after midnight (I also kept my eyes on our driver).
So, today begins our adventure. I will post as I am able.
