A little more than 2 months ago, Kim and I were able to take a trip to Israel. The world of the Bible came alive for us in so many ways as I visited locations that are mentioned in Scripture.
But, it’s the gift that keeps on giving!
As I was reading and reflecting on Luke 4 today, I came across the passage where Jesus was visiting the city of Nazareth. The people became so angry at Him as He taught in their synagogue that they tried to push Him off a cliff.
Luke 4:16 “And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up. And as was his custom, he went to the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and he stood up to read.”
Luke 4:28-30 “When they heard these things, all in the synagogue were filled with wrath. And they rose up and drove him out of the town and brought him to the brow of the hill on which their town was built, so that they could throw him down the cliff. But passing through their midst, he went away.”
We visited the place where it is thought that this event took place. It’s called The Mount of Precipice. When you watch the video below that I captured, the first thing you will see is present-day Nazareth. Then, I panned the camera to the Valley of Megiddo (where the Battle of Armageddon will be fought) at the place that some suspect the citizens of Nazareth, 2,000 years ago, tried to throw Jesus off the cliff.
(If you want to read my reflections of our trip to Israel, that include pictures and videos, just click on the “Archive” button at the top right and then click on “May 2018” and “June 2018.”)
I really like this place, even though I have never been there but I really like this place it’s my prayer that one day God will open a way for me to go there to. I am an evangelist who lives in Ghana of west Africa I used to go to villages and preach to many the good news of Jesus Christ,so if you are interested with us then you are welcome

Thank you so much for sharing your videos and photos from Israel! I was delighted to see the place described in Luke 4:29-30! No one throws Jesus over a cliff without His permission.

You are welcome. I only wish that I had a better camera and had documented my trip more thoroughly. So much of the Bible came alive as I visited the places where the events in Scripture happened.
