As we ended our study of the book of James, we were reminded that there are professors who are not possessors. There are people who claim to be Jesus-followers who don’t actually possess eternal life. Essentially, their words and actions will demonstrate the state of their heart.

If we love them, we must confront them and tell them of our concern. If we fear that they may not be a genuine believer, then we should care enough to confront with the ultimate goal being for them to finally and ultimately put their trust in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life.

How do we do this and what does it look like? James 5:19-20 answers those questions.
