Leviticus 9:7-10:20
Mark 4:26-5:20
Psalm 37:30-40
Proverbs 10:6-7

Today’s Bible Verse(s):

Psalm 37:30-31 (NLT): “The mouth of the righteous utters wisdom, and his tongue speaks justice. The law of his God is in his heart; his steps do not slip.”

Reflections on Today’s Bible Verse(s):

Do you want wisdom? Do you want the ability to properly assess things? Do you want the ability to know what is right and what is wrong, and what the right choice would be?

Then, the verses for today speak to you. It says, “The mouth of the righteous utters wisdom, and his tongue speaks justice.”

But, the question is, “How?” How does this person get to a place where they have developed wisdom? The very next verse provides the answer.

Psalm 37:30-31 (NLT): “The mouth of the righteous utters wisdom, and his tongue speaks justice. The law of his God is in his heart; his steps do not slip.”

 He regularly spends significant time with God’s Word. He/she spends so much time with their Bible that it is no longer merely words on a page. “The law of his God” has made its way into their heart. God’s Word has taken up residence within him.

Friend, all that God has for you is tied up in His Word. If you want to grow in wisdom, you’ve got to spend time in your Bible. Each day, set aside at least 15-30 minutes to read and reflect on a portion of Scripture.

Soon, you’ll realize that it’s becoming a part of you. As it gets into your mind and heart, you’ll notice that it will inform you of what is right and wrong. Your mind, filled with God’s Word, will be much better equipped to make the right decisions. And that’s when you know that you have developed the wisdom spoken of in our verses for today.

Psalm 37:30-31 (NLT): “The mouth of the righteous utters wisdom, and his tongue speaks justice. The law of his God is in his heart; his steps do not slip.”
