Last night, Kim and I welcomed twelve Murray State University students into our home. We had previously told Zach that he could invite his Baptist Campus Ministry Freshman Family Group over to our home. The idea of Korean food was brought up as a possible meal idea.

Playing a game at the end of the night. Unfortunately, one of the young girls had already left when I took this picture.

When I was a young child, my Dad served as a missionary to South Korea. So, I grew up enjoying food like Bulgogi, Kimchi, Curry Rice, Bokkeumbap, and so much more.

Zach got with his group and they said they were looking forward to an oriental meal. So, Kim and I worked like crazy yesterday preparing the food for 15-20 young adults.

The menu:
Bulgogi
Vegetable curry
Sticky rice
Kimchi
Soybean sprouts
Lettuce leaves
Joseph made some cookies and Sean grilled some hamburgers in case some of the guys and gals weren’t up to the Korean food.

From the comments we received after the meal, it was a success. To top it off, Kim made a delicious fruit pizza that got devoured. She had to make another one before the night was out.

After the meal, Joseph discovered that his and Sean’s Guinea pigs and hamster were a big hit. Somewhere on Instagram you may be able to see one of the many pictures that was taken last night.

Then, we all gathered in the living room for a game. I haven’t laughed so hard in a long time!

While the college students may say that they enjoyed their time in our home (at least I hope they would), Kim and I would agree that the greatest joy was our own! It was an incredible evening with some very impressive young adults. We will definitely do this again!
