Knesset

Our first stop for the day was the Menorah in the governmental area of Jerusalem. The menorah is one of the symbols of the State of Israel.

Then we turned around and our guide told us about the Israeli ruling body that meets across the street.

According to Wikipedia, “The Knesset is the unicameral national legislature of Israel. As the legislative branch of the Israeli government, the Knesset passes all laws, elects the President and Prime Minister, approves the cabinet, and supervises the work of the government.”
