TODAY’S BIBLE VERSE(S):
Numbers 24:12–13 (CSB): “Balaam answered Balak, ‘Didn’t I previously tell the messengers you sent me: If Balak were to give me his house full of silver and gold, I could not go against the Lord’s command, to do anything good or bad of my own will? I will say whatever the Lord says.'”
REFLECTIONS ON TODAY’S BIBLE VERSE(S):
I won’t write much today. The verses that I have chosen as our Verses for Today are clear enough.
Read them again, slowly, and I’ll simply ask a few questions.
- Do you value God’s Word more than a house full of silver and gold?
- If so, does that attitude play out in the amount of time you spend in your Bible?
- Do you value God’s Word even if believing and obeying it deprives you of worldly treasures?
- If so, what have you given up because of your commitment to knowing and obeying God’s Word?
- Are you so committed to following and obeying the Lord that you will risk getting your peers upset and angry with you?
- If so, can you think of a time when following Jesus and obeying Him caused a rift between you and someone else?
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could live each day of our life, truthfully living out the words of Numbers 24:12-13!
