April 6: “Choose Life that You May Live”

2 Minute Read

Deuteronomy 29:1–30:20
Luke 11:37–12:7
Psalm 78:1-31
Proverbs 12:19-20

Deuteronomy 30:19-20 (CSB): “I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you today that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Choose life so that you and your descendants may live, love the LORD your God, obey him, and remain faithful to him. For he is your life, and he will prolong your days as you live in the land the LORD swore to give to your fathers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”

I will not elaborate on our Verses for Today. They are easy enough to understand.

I will simply encourage you to go back to read and re-read Deuteronomy 30:19-20. Consider reading those verses slowly 5-10 times. Allow God to speak each word to your mind and heart.

Then reflect on what it says to see if there are any adjustments that you need to make in your life. Ask God’s Holy Spirit to probe your mind and heart to see if any sins need to be confessed.

Determine to finish your time in Deuteronomy 30:19-20 with a clean heart, a clear mind, and a renewed resolve to live for Jesus.
