Mondays are typically emotionally down days for most pastors. After the emotional roller coaster of Sundays, Mondays can leave you feeling drained and maybe a little bit blue.
Sometimes, I enjoy a Monday “down day” and just spend the day doing some busy work. But other days, I crave accomplishment.
Today, I craved accomplishment. I wanted to tackle the Van Fleet Trail and put some decent mileage on my bike tires.
I’m physically exhausted as I write this. But I feel like I’ve cleaned out my emotional system and I’m ready for the week now!

Congratulations Matt!

Thanks, Allison. When I pastored FBC Brooksville (before Westside BC), I would put as many as 50-60 miles on my old mountain bike at a time on the Withlacoochie Bike Trail. I’m still a bit out of shape but I want to get back to doing that kind of mileage again.
I sure hope things are going well for you and the ladies at Westside.
