3 Minute Read
Be Still
To the best of your ability, get rid of all distractions. Take a couple of minutes to breathe deeply, to quiet yourself in the Lord’s presence. Then, prayerfully ask the Lord to speak to you in this time and let Him know that you will be listening and will make whatever adjustments He will reveal to you.
Today’s Bible Reading:
Malachi 3:1–4:6
Revelation 22:1-21
Psalm 150:1-6
Proverbs 31:25-31
Listen to the Lord
Slowly and reflectively read the following verses and listen to what God will say to you through them. Then, consider writing down any insights He reveals to you.
Revelation 22:20 (NLT): “He who is the faithful witness to all these things says, ‘Yes, I am coming soon!’ Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!”
Reflections from Scripture:
Simply reflect on the verses that I have chosen for today. Realize that there is coming a day when Jesus will return to make all things new. While we must live each day to the full and for His glory, we should also long for the day when we can be with Jesus forever. Does your heart anxiously await His return? Are you living as if He could return today?
Spend Time in Prayer:
Spend time with the Lord, reflecting on the fact that Jesus could return for us today. Ask Him to help you live today as if this could be the day.
