I’m tossing around the idea of teaching through the Bible again. I will finish my final semester’s responsibilities as an adjunct professor in a couple months and want to keep busy communicating the wonderful, life-changing truths of God’s Word. I love knowing that I can play at least a small part in helping people grow in their knowledge of God’s Word so that they can believe it and live it.
So…
What do you think would be the most beneficial?
- Should I teach through the Bible in a year again, using each day’s entry merely to give abbreviated summaries of each chapter?
- Or should I focus on a verse or two in each day’s reading and make my entries more devotional in nature?
- Or do you think it would be better to go through one book of the Bible at a time? If so, which one(s)?
- Or is there another idea that I haven’t thought of?
I’m also thinking about firing up my podcast again in January. The content will coincide with the content I add to this website each day. But I will be sure not to allow any podcast next year to go longer than 10-15 minutes each. I need to be more intentional about keeping my daily responsibilities manageable and also not make you feel like I’m giving you a drink out of a fire hydrant.
I’m interested in your thoughts. Send them to me at mattellis1997@gmail.com. Thanks!

Be submissive to the Holy Spirit’s instructions. We enjoy your teaching and preaching. Matt, GOD has blessed you as a servant that’s not ashamed of proclaiming the TRUTH of GOD’S WORD> keep it up cause we love you and your family. Buddy and JoAnn
