I wrote a blog post last week and said I wanted to fire up my website and podcast on January 1. I asked what you thought would be the most helpful to you as we prepare to start a new year.

As you can imagine, I received quite a few different responses. But the general tone of most responses was: “This is what I would prefer, but do what you believe the Lord is leading you to do.”

So, as of right now, here is my plan for January 1:

My Website:

I will do a “Thru-the-Bible-In-A-Year. Each day’s entry, which can be sent to your inbox, will include that day’s readings (Old and New Testament) as well as my reflections on a verse or two in that day’s text. So, each entry will primarily be devotional in nature.

My Podcast:

I will teach through one Biblical book at a time. One person who responded mentioned the book of James, and I may go with that suggestion. Each day’s podcast will be about 10-15 minutes in length.

Of course, as we approach January 1 and beyond, please feel free to chime in and tell me what you like and don’t necessarily like in the podcasts and daily articles. I want everything I produce to be helpful and done to the best of my ability … but that bar is relatively low. LOL
