Another year has come to an end. I started 2025 with a desire to write a devotional article every single day. It got a bit laborious, so I eventually backed off to only writing articles on weekdays. Eventually, I wasn’t always able to write that frequently.

So … I’m going to take a break. I suspect this year at White Hall Baptist Church will require much more of my attention as we cultivate the posture of restful availability to whatever the Lord calls us to do. I suspect this year will see us begin new ministries and experience some measure of growth. That will require more of my time.

But … I’m not going to stop writing. I have every intention of producing another book by the end of this year. I’ve got a few projects started, so I need to determine which one I will tackle. I’ll post it here and on social media as the project nears completion.

Finally, here are the stats for this website. I’m so grateful that others have joined me for my journey as I write, primarily about God’s Word but periodically about other things. As you can see, the audience has grown since 2017.

In 2025, there were 62,654 views and 48,324 visitors. Search engines drew people to my site, accounting for 39,041 views. These numbers aren’t huge, but they let me know that in a small way, I can encourage and influence others as I point to Jesus and His Word.

As you can see in the image below, the audience is primarily in the United States, but it extends far beyond our borders. The internet really does make the world seem smaller.

And one other thing … The previous stats only include visitors to my website. They don’t include the (currently) 452 people who receive each post via e-mail when they don’t visit my site.

So, I hate to set this project aside, but I need some time to breathe, make sure I’m being a good steward of my time by doing the most important things, and eventually get back to writing regularly on this site.

Thank you for joining me on this journey, and I look forward to returning at some point, maybe sooner than later.
