It is easy to develop a negative attitude if we simply look at all of the difficulties and injustices around us. It is when we look to our God and our eternal reward that we can gain a positive perspective.
If we were living life all on our own, especially in light of how some people mistreat use, life would be lonely and scary. But, we aren’t alone if we are a Jesus-follower. So we should cry out to the Lord who can help us.
It’s not enough to believe God’s Word. It’s not even enough to have faith in God’s Word. The intentions of the original biblical authors, led by the Holy Spirit, were that we trust in the Lord and His Word.
So many Jesus-followers think that they must demonstrate a certain level of faith in order to please the Lord. Yet, we read in Scripture that He meets us where we are.
While we sometimes think we are at the mercy of people who are hurtful, we must realize that it is ultimately God who is in control of our life and that of others.
