Periodically, I like to post the stats that I get to see on my website. I am constantly humbled and encouraged that there is such a wide audience of folks who read the Bible reflections that I post on this site.
I want so badly to hear Jesus tell me, “Well done, good and faithful slave” on the day of judgment. So I continually look for ways to do my job.
What’s my job as a pastor? Well, the Scripture makes it clear what my primary task is!
Acts 6:2,4 (CSB): “The Twelve summoned the whole company of the disciples and said, ‘It would not be right for us to give up preaching the word of God to wait on tables. … But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word.'”
Ephesians 4:11-12 (CSB): ” And he himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, equipping the saints for the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ,”
While I have many other secondary jobs, my primary jobs are prayer and the proclamation of the Word for the purpose of equipping God’s people to effectively engage in the ministry of the Kingdom.
That’s why I preach, teach, blog, and write books!
So, with that being my heart’s desire, I am so encouraged that God has enabled me to write Scriptural reflections that help others all over the world. Here is this past month’s (January) stats for mattsmusings.net.
January Total View: 2,131
January Total Visitors: 789
These next three jpg’s show the countries that people reside in when they access my website. It also shows how many views originated from each country.
This, my friends, is why I keep writing biblical reflections on my website!
