Today’s Bible Reading:
Today’s Bible Verse(s):
“He will transform the body of our humble condition into the likeness of his glorious body, by the power that enables him to subject everything to himself.”
Philippians 3:21 (CSB)
Reflections on Today’s Bible Verse(s):
When a lot of people think of Heaven, they think it is “spiritual.” They think it is less “real” than life here on earth.
And with this faulty view of Heaven, it may lose a bit of its luster.
The Bible makes it abundantly clear that we will have physical bodies in Heaven. That much is clear in the verse I have chosen for today.
Further, you can read passages like 1 Corinthians 15 and understand that there is coming a day when our physical, decayed bodies will rise from the grave and be turned into a supernatural body fitted to enjoy Heaven forever.
In fact, these physical bodies will be necessary because “Heaven” will be life on the New Earth (Revelation 21-22).
There’s so much I could say about this but I want to recommend a book. It’s one my favorite books of all time. It’s simply called “Heaven” and it was written by Randy Alcorn.

Lord Jesus, thank You that Heaven awaits me. I’m also grateful that it is just as physical as life here on earth. I’m looking forward to being with You, on the New Earth, with my new supernatural body to enjoy forever. With all that is going on in the world right now, Heaven is sounding more and more appealing. I’m looking forward to the day when You call me home. Amen.
