3 Minute Read + Video & Scripture readings

Today’s Bible Reading:

Leviticus 5
Psalms 3-4
Proverbs 20
Colossians 3

Today’s Bible Verse(s):

“LORD, how my foes increase!
There are many who attack me.
Many say about me,
‘There is no help for him in God.’
But you, LORD, are a shield around me,
my glory, and the one who lifts up my head.
I cry aloud to the LORD,
and he answers me from his holy mountain.
I lie down and sleep;
I wake again because the LORD sustains me.”
Psalm 3:1-5 (CSB)

Reflections on Today’s Bible Verse(s):

Most of you are spending a lot more time at home than you normally did a few weeks ago. Most gathering places like restaurants only offer drive-thru or carry-out now. And most of our churches are complying with reasonable orders to meet via online or other creative ways to try to “flatten the curve” of COVID-19.

Since you probably can’t gather with your church family, let’s bring “church” to you. As I was reading in Psalm 3 this morning, particularly verses 1-5, my mind was singing the tune. I was reading the words but my mind was singing along with the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir who sang those words in a wonderful performance.

So, sit back, hit “Play” on the video below, and get ready to worship our great God as you rest in His care for you.

Lord Jesus, thank You for being my Shield and the Lifter of my head. Life gets tough sometimes. But You are always there to give me just what I need when I need it. May I rest in Your care. Amen.
