Reflections on Today’s Bible Verse(s):
It really is wonderful what God did for us in Christ. We were lost and dead and on our way to an eternity in Hell. Jesus was in Heaven, enjoying the splendors that were rightfully His.
Yet, He temporarily left His throne in Heaven so that He could take on our sin and pay the sin debt of every single person who will place their trust in Him.
So, Jesus took our sins so that we can take His righteousness. God was angry at Him on the cross so that God can smile at us for eternity.
It’s the divine swap!
So if you have placed your trust in Jesus and have been saved, your identity is now tied up in Christ. Because of what He did for you, God now sees you differently. As Pastor John MacArther has said: “On the cross God looked at Jesus and saw you; now He looks at you and sees Jesus.”
Just think about all of this, friend. And then praise God and thank Him for what He’s done for you.

Lord Jesus, I am so unworthy of Your incredible gifts of grace. But I gratefully receive them. Thank You for taking my sin on the cross so that Your Father and mine sees You in me when He looks at me now. I’m so blessed! Amen.
