Introduction
Welcome to the June 30th episode of the “Enjoying the Bible” podcast. I’m Matt Ellis, and I’m the pastor of the First Baptist Church in Polk City, Florida.
Today’s reading is Job 17-19. But since there is no New Testament reading today, I’d like to simply pray for you.

Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You for the lives You have given to each of us. We know from Psalm 139:16 that “all my days were written in your book and planned before a single one of them began.” So You knew us before we were born, You set the course of our lives before we ever took our first breath, and then gave us life.
So help us, Lord Jesus, not to live today as just any other day. Help us to see it as a day that You made and orchestrated long ago. Help us to walk into this day alongside You with a sense of adventure. Enable us to be open to the opportunities You have planned today for us to demonstrate Your goodness and share Your truth with others.
We pray this in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
