This video features a hike on the Auxier Ridge Trail in Kentucky’s Red River Gorge. Throughout the trek, I show incredible sights while periodically reflecting on faith and the concept of general revelation as described in Romans 1:20. While this 15.5-minute video includes some talking, the vast majority is reflective music and beautiful scenery.
Three talking segments:
- Introduction: The I set the stage for the hike, highlighting the beauty of nature and my desire to connect with the Creator through the trail (0:15 – 0:43).
- Vulnerability and encouragement: At the 1.25-mile mark, I share a personal anecdote about feeling vulnerable on the trail until I unexpectedly heard fellow hikers singing the Doxology. This moment brought the public practice of faith from Matthew 5:16 to life for me, emphasizing the impact of living out our faith openly (4:39 – 6:22).
- Nature as testimony: As I conclude the trail, I reflect on how rock formations, fall colors, and the complexity of nature serve as evidence of God’s power, beauty, and wisdom (13:14 – 14:50).
I conclude the video by inviting viewers to enjoy nature and share their thoughts on my hiking adventure content.
Living in the Colorado Rockies, I daily see nature as a testimony!
