Today’s Bible Reading:
Today’s Bible Verse(s):
“He comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any kind of affliction, through the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”
2 Corinthians 1:4 (CSB)
Reflections on Today’s Bible Verse(s):
Life can be tough. Sometimes, really tough.
So, how do we respond to difficulties? One option is to get upset at the trials and perpetually send questions up to Heaven. “God, why did you allow this to happen to me?”
If we aren’t careful, we can get stuck in that negative response. Instead of the trial working out for our good, we will allow it to do bad things in us. Rather than allowing it to make us better, we will allow it to make us bitter.
Another response is to see our trials as a learning opportunity for us. We learn, and experience God’s provision during the trial so that we can help others who are going through similar difficulties.
This is the response we observe in the verses I have chosen for today…
2 Corinthians 1:4 (CSB): “He comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any kind of affliction, through the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”
So, have you been through some really tough times?
Have you experiencing God’s provision during those times?
Then, who can you come alongside and help who might be going to something similar?

Lord Jesus, life has gotten tough for me at times. I am also convinced that those trials had to come from Your hands before they got to me. So, I believe that You intended for them to have a positive outcome. Let me be able to comfort others with the comfort that I have experienced from You. Amen.
